Felix Leitermann – Financial Director

Felix is a deeply caring person — not only for the people around him, and those working for him, but also for the well-being of our planet.

After working on numerous high profile German productions as production manager, including 25km/h and The Most Beautiful Day, Felix knows everything about making films and how to put the best value on screen. But this knowledge has also fueled his desire to temporarily withdraw himself from conventional filmmaking methods, and find ways to produce movies differently, with a strong focus on sharing and sustaining resources.

Felix is not only the financial director of Unicorn, he is also involved in the strategic planning of the company’s past, present and future. He works hand in hand with Katja sculpting the bigger picture, whilst enabling the day to day operation.

Felix has very much a “can do“ attitude towards everything.

Katja and Felix met whilst filming the third movie of the OSTWIND trilogy in Spain. Financial and creative needs of a project are often polar-opposite, yet, Felix and Katja grew a strong bond making the impossible possible. This was the most beautiful foundation for creating a synergy that has manifested in UNICORN PICTURES.

Fun Fact: Felix lives on the small German island of Pellworm. There, he is changing the world one sheep at a time, and also manages a beautifully crafted independent cinema, sharing global cinema with his community.
